India's premium marine tourism market depends heavily on imported, second-hand or refurbished yachts. Most existing vessels use diesel propulsion, meaning higher operating cost, emissions and noise — despite India having a long coastline and a large number of islands.
Karnataka's coastline — Mangalore, Udupi and Karwar — is exactly the kind of emerging destination that lacks structured, sustainable marine tourism infrastructure. Project Blue Horizon starts here.
Centred on a lightweight composite, electric-propulsion demonstrator, intended for luxury tourism, inland waterways and future marine mobility applications.
A milestone-based development path, currently at the engineering-design stage.
Project Blue Horizon begins on Karnataka's coastline and scales outward as the platform matures.
Karnataka coastal tourism — Mangalore, Udupi, Karwar
Goa, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar, river tourism
Pan-India luxury marine mobility
International export markets
Economic, environmental, technological and social goals for the programme as it matures.
Project Blue Horizon is at engineering-design stage. Renders on this page are concept illustrations, not final production imagery. Emissions and performance figures are development targets, not independently verified claims.
